Rising Rivers

Clad in full waterproofs, wellies and armed with our biggest umbrella, we've been getting our daily exercise though little visits down to the river to watch it as it rises. You can compare the two photo below, taken 24 hours apart.

Rain has been fallen pretty much solidly for over 48 hours and the rain gauge is on 110mm.

Despite the relative luxury of The Cottage, it was always nice to be out getting some fresh air and moving our limbs.

Luckily, we both had pretty busy online schedules and for once, were quite happy to stay indoors while the local streams took on a bigger persona.

Then, finally, before the rains abated, the temperatures dropped and it began to snow again!
