First full day on the trail today! This time the skies were overcast and the temperatures low. Stayed well wrapped up during our 25km ride through the forests and wilderness. Low light and low temperatures meant not many photos as I had big mitts on for most of the day. We made a fire when we stopped for lunch, but otherwise, we were on the move all day. We followed trails through the forests and across some frozen river valleys in an enormous loop so that we arrived back at the kennels that evening. The light felt a bit monochrome all day and the brief glimpses of the sun showed that it was still very low in the sky, even at midday. Here's a few moments that I captured along the way....
