Summer temperatures have arrived in North Wales; nicely timed for a day of rock climbing in the Slate Quarry above Llanberis. This time I managed to arrive with the correct kit and even a nice picnic too.
It felt great to be hanging out, nattering and pulling on small holds.
After some routes in the Nuremberg Area, we moved up a level for some classic slate crack climbing.
Back at the Cottage by mid-afternoon, we had a coffee break, then I returned to the quarry, this time with Emma at the higher 'Skyline' area.
There was a team on our chosen climb, so we opted for a long bolted route nearby instead. It had just gone into the shade, but that was probably a good thing as it was 24 degrees by then!
