Anglesey Coastal Path: Rhosniger to Newbrough

First Duke of Edinburgh's Award expedition for me this weekend - which started with a lesson about which food is likely to travel best in a well-packed rucsack. After some debate, the eggs were returned to the shelves!

We were loosely following the coastal path on Anglesey and enjoyed some beautiful sunshine, but a cold northerly wind made it actually rather cold. A field of frisky cows caused some alarm during the afternoon.

The going got tough later in the day and shortly before camp, someone's boots decided that they'd had enough.

It was quite late by the time we had tents up at Malltreath. We got dinner down quick before the farm yard animals could get a look in.

It was a freezing cold night to be camping. The stars were excellent as there was no clouds or moon, but the tents were covered in frost in the morning. All was calm as we crossed the 'Cob' first thing on Sunday morning.

I then spent most of the rest of the day cycling around the tracks of Newbrough keeping tabs on the teams. Pretty nice really...
