A wet and wild wedding

Apparently it’s good luck to have a bit of rain on your wedding day, but ‘Storm Brian’ really took things to the extremes today. 45mm of rain fell during the day and a windspeed of 112mph was recorded nearby! We literally left The Cottage wearing full gore-tex suits over our suits! Over on Anglesey, where the wedding was being held, the situation was not much better, but the amazing tee-pee structure was holding fast!

Despite a few noisy and threatening gusts during the service, once we were safely inside, we could just about forget about the weather an enjoy what was a lovely day of celebrations. Funny speeches, delicious food and amazing deserts were followed up with a strong dance scene that went on well into the morning. We had planned on staying in the van afterwards, but given the weather, I was very happy to be delivered back into a warm Cottage bed at 3am...
