Out and about in Canoes today, although we didn't get far! It was super calm and still in the lagoon where we started, but outside the shelter of the bay, and strong, cold easterly wind was blowing!
It looks nice in the photo, but the wind was really cold and the water really choppy. We tried hard to go some distance, but the wind kept pushing us back!
We changed plans and retreated back into the sheltered waters to focus on some skills instead. It's been the first day this autumn that I've felt cold - better start packing some warmer gear! The evenings are getting shorter too. Had to scrap plans for climbing this eve as it was already getting dark by the time I was back at The Cottage!
