The psych for a day out in the great outdoors needed a bit of encouragement was we drove to meet our respective groups this morning!
However, the very pessimistic forecast turned out to be way off and by lunch time, we were able to enjoy some beautiful conditions on the lake for a spot of canoeing.
Light winds allowed us to get over to the far side of the water, where we made a tempoary camp by the old railway. A small fire and camp kettle meant that we even got hot soup for lunch which was a real bonus as well as a morale boost for some.
Another world away, but on the same evening, I went to watch our neighbour Martin performing at Neuadd Ogwen in Bethesda, with his band 'Bardd'. It was a fantastic performance and amazing to watch such skilled players so close up. Even cooler to be able to walk there from The Cottage!
