An unprecedented third day in a kayak today! This time it was actually scheduled as I had a small group of students that we were running an 'intro to white water' kayaking day. On the way to the river, we stopped to have a look at the more advanced section of the Llugwy - something to build up to!
We put on at Plas y Brenin, where a gale was howling down the lake. The windchill was bitter, so we shot through the chute, under the bridge to find a bit of shelter.
Here we could practice some of the skills required on some gentle moving water, before moving onto the 'good stuff'.
The final section to Jim's Bridge has a couple of nice little rapids, which we ran a few times. It was a cold, but fun afternoon and well timed with good water levels.
