Onto the steeper stuff

After another leisurely morning in 'le office' making plans (and of course a couple of quick rounds of golf), we set off up the valley for some afternoon cragging.

The route was a fantastic one and considerably steeper than what we've done so far! The grades also felt more on par too.

There were three long pitches involving a lot of crimping on small holds. It's an intimidating cliff because as you look up, the rock seems blank, but with each little move another small hold would appear.

Then we both had to negotiate some big overhangs, which put a lot of space beneath our feet as we ascended!

The abseils back down were much easier today as the ropes fell freely from the cliff face, indicating how steep we'd just climbed!

We happily arrived back at the apartment to find this notice on the door!

We duly accepted the invitation and went down to the bar and had a socialble time chatting with our fellow residents, while being plied with copious amounts of the local tipple, which was basically white wine with black currant. After an interesting chat with a Spanish couple and more than enough glasses of wine we staggered our way back upstairs happy, tired and giggly..
