May Day Waves

May Bank Holiday Monday and it feels like summer has arrived! Had our first breakfast outside this morning at The Cottage, before heading over to the beach to go surfing. Off shore winds and some good sets gave us both good rides, but Clare was getting the best of he action by sneaking onto the shallow barrels! 

Loads of surfers in the water meant that we moved off to the side of the main wave as the experience of catching a wave in a crowd is no where near as nice as having an empty wave ahead! 

It's a bit like skiing a slope that's already got tracks down it. The aesthetic is different. Nevertheless, it was good to be in the water and we even lucked out by getting last orders, holiday style at the creperie! Bonus!
