The new van is now officially 'run in'. We've just taken on a cross continental road trip, starting in the UK, passing through France, Germany and Austria. Tomorrow we'll make it to our final destination - The Dolomites in Italy.
After starting at Dockenfield, we took the tunnel to Calais. The van is perfect for this as there is a bench seat in the front: once on the train, we lay back in comfort and went straight to sleep for the entire journey!
We stopped for the night near Metz in France, then despite being able to drive as fast as you can on the Autobahn, spent a good portion of the next day in traffic jams in Germany! Thank goodness we've upgrade to having aircon these days!
We found a super cool campspot near Kufstein in Austria. The temperature stayed near 29 degrees right into the evening, which was perfect for swimming after a long day in the van!
