Stanage Edge - damp grit

A day trip to the Peak District today! Sadly, the idea of a crisp winter afternoons bouldering at the Plantation at Stanage were somewhat washed out, but we did manage to catch up with some great friends. There were actually patches of snow still as we drove over Snake Pass!

Making the best of the conditions with a nice walk!

We spent the morning with the 'Ball Crew' in Sheffield. It's been many many years since I'd seen Alex in person, but as is the way with some people, it felt like we were still living down the street, just catching up on the weeks news, rather than hearing about the last few years of our lives! In the afternoon, we went for a walk up to Stanage Edge, but although the rain had stopped, the rock was sodden. Rather than forcing a point, we enjoyed a short walk before opting for the much better option of drinking tea with Pete in Stockport instead!
