Due to a late start and cold conditions in the mountains, we had a last minute change of venue on Sunday to still manage a section of ridge scrambling, but without having to travel to the cloudy covered summits.
With only a very short walk in and great views, the Penmeanbach ridge gave us a superb little journey and even had us in the sun and sheltered from the wind!
There's a small grassy ledge half way up, where we stopped and all sat and had a picnic. This was the view.
Instead of continuing to the top, we short-roped, then lowered down the west side and walked back to the bus. A great circuit.
