A Mediterranean Morning

Having been living so close to the sea for the last week, we finally got up in time to go down to the water's edge to see the sun come up. It was a cloudless morning with a light breeze and the beach was deserted. A special moment.

The sand was freezing cold without the sun's heat, so neither of us was inclined to take a swim, but with our feet in the water, we stood and watched the colours change as the day got going.

Back at the pad, we got things packed up, tidied away and said our farewells to Gandia. The journey to the airport was uneventful, but we did pass this wonderfully overloaded car on the motorway!

In a matter of hours later, we were heading back towards more familiar mountains...

The Cottage garden was showing new colours for St David's Day and it felt like Spring was on it's way.
