Autumn Colours

Although Wales is in 'lockdown', do at least have some very nice woodland to walk around in close to The Cottage. We had 30mm rainfall overnight, so went to see how high the river might be on my way to getting a (painful!) flu jab at the docs.

I'm not sure the colours are as vibrant as they were in Scotland, but there are still some impressive autumn scenes around here. (We even saw a 'bigger that a buzzard?' Bird of prey - presumably not a golden eagle though?...!)

Once the wind and rain had passed through, we had a brief spell of bright sunshine just before sunset, which was wonderful to be out in.

While we were away, my new book arrived from the printers. It's a collection of photos from the last year. Not quite one a day, but pretty close. There are definite 'gaps' where we've been in isolation or quarantine. Really happy with how this one turned out - it's good to have some documentation of what's been going on.

More incredible waves arrived on the north coast today as well - (this isn't my photo) - only slightly frustrating not to be able to go and take advantage of the conditions! Still, there is lots to be getting on with here at The Cottage, so I can't see us getting bored anytime soon and with a fresh lot of wood to chop, the log gym should keep me fit!
