Flat Calm on Llyn Padarn

'Peaceful and eery' was how one of my group described their journey across the lake with me today. It was prime canoeing conditions, with high hazy clouds and barely a breath of wind.

It was the kind of day where we could all take our time and spread out into the expanse of water as we slowly made our way up the lake. There wasn't much in the way of teaching set skills today; more of appreciating the views and feeling of floating.

Had lunch at one of my favourite picnic spots as a bonus too.

High hopes of going out climbing this evening had to be scrapped after various setbacks and eventually, darkness got the better of us. Instead, I spent a happy evening with a cuppa, nattering by the fireside at a friends house.
