Double Pancake Day

Banana pancakes for breakfast, followed by another stormy surf on the west coast of Anglesey. Then back to The Cottage, for an afternoon session of classic lemon and sugar pancakes with coffee as the Slates started to dry off. Headed to the 'Australia' level of the quarries for a climb.

The rain had been so heavy overnight that I actually went down to see the river levels. It would have been good for kayaking, but decided to go for the surf option anyway.

We'd not been into the Australia area for ages. Maybe a year? The old wall on the walk up is still standing - just...

We climbed the most famous route there, which had some wet patches on it still, but nothing we couldn't tip-toe around. It's delicate slate climbing at it's best, with just enough protection for it to be safe but a little scary in places.

The skies had cleared by the time we walked out into a great sunset (washed out in the photo though!).
