Going solo in the evening sun

Not normally one for soloing, but couldn't resist stopping off at Tryfan Bach on the way to a conference today. No one was about. The slab was bathed in warm sunlight with a light breeze. It actually felt like summer. Perfect conditions. Was amazing climbing in T-Shirt weather and the slab is well endowed with positive handholds which make for a very pleasant experience.

I didn't have long to soak up the evening atmosphere, but went up three routes, enjoying the feel of the rock and the focus of being in the moment. It's amazing how much climbing you can do in such little time when you are free of the ropes!

And all this is just a fifteen minute drive from The Cottage and with a walk in time of less than ten. Sitting on top, I felt very lucky.
