RAC Boulders & Tryfan Bach combo...

An amazing day to be a rock climbing instructor in Snowdonia! What better way to start off a sunny autumnal morning, than a good bouldering session on the RAC boulders. It was only 5 degrees at The Cottage this morning - the coldest temperature since last winter - but the sun soon had us in T-Shirts as we leisurely climbed a few of the classic problems.

Lunch spot - with the classic view of Snowdon
After a lunch by Llyn Mymbr, enjoying the views of the Snowdon horseshoe, we moved round into the Ogwen valley just as the sun came onto Tryfan Bach. With no wind, it was gloriously hot as we climbed the sunny slab in a few pitches, looking at gear placements along the way. Before descending, we had a series of deafening flybys from some fighter jets that shook the crag!! - they went past at eye level!

Finally, we finished off the day, with a walk along Bangor pier and attempted (fruitlessly again) to hook ourselves some dinner... Happy to have made the most of such a great day, especially as there is a change on the way for the weekend!
