Sea Cliff Climbing

A fine day for a climbing trip to the sea side. Damp in the mountains, but bright at the coast again. There was a strong onshore breeze keeping things cool on the cliff tops, but once we'd abseiled into the base of the cliffs, we were sheltered and warm! (thanks to the other pair of climbers who'd rigged an abseil rope already!)

We climbed a couple of routes that we'd not done before, which made it all feel new!

Down at sea level, waves were crashing about, but we'd timed our visit with low tide, so stayed dry, while enjoying the 'atmosphere'.

Back on top, we stopped for some lunch, but it was much winder, so we soon descended back to sea level.

The second route wasn't as good, as the top rocks looked a bit wobbly! The tide had begun to come in for the last climb, so I traversed in at half way and got to climb the top good bits!

In the evening, just before dark, I went for a paddle board on the lake to rinse the boards from yesterdays salt water. There was a lull in the wind, so it was nice and flat - I paddled to the middle of the lake and them swam back!
