Clipping Fresh Bolts

Earlier in the year, I noticed that a crag that I've explored had been marked up with little red dots of paint, which looked very much like where a bolt might be placed. After having to abandon our Plan A of a nice long ridge scramble, due to winds that were much stronger than anticipated, we retreated to the ground and went to investigate the crag in question. As if by magic, bolts had started to appear!

As well as climbing new routes, I also got to try out some new gear from a recent order at my favourite (and local) climbing manufacturer, DMM.

The base of the crag is hidden by a large oak tree, but from the top, you can still get a good view.

The development of the crag is not yet finished, but several good low grade routes gave us a great afternoon of entertainment and due to the lack of natural protection, it's now much more useable. Hopefully, the red dots will fade away?!...
