Slate Climbing - Horses Latitude, 6a+

Sheltered conditions in the slate quarry led us down to the Rainbow Walls area of the quarry to do a bolted climb that we'd not done in ages.

The route felt a little bold as from the ground, the bolts seemed a little spaced out, but they are actually pretty well placed for there to be one just when you need it!

There is a good ledge at the top and Clare came up to join me before we both abseiled down to our well placed picnic area in the sun.

Ten years ago to the day, I was in Scotland, passing my MIC Assessment! It doesn't feel that long ago! We had a little celebration at The Cottage, which was topped off by a visit from Tim, who came over for dinner while of a three day visit from Switzerland!
