Climbing at Castle Inn Quarry

A day for selecting the right venue! The air temperature was only around 5 degrees or so and in the wind, it felt below zero.

However, with a short hike over the hill onto the sheltered south facing cliffs of Castle Inn, we were able to climb in t-shirts today! Not quite Spanish warmth, but not bad at all for North Wales in early March.

The sky was a fantastic shade of blue.

We turned a morning climbing session into a whole day at the crag as it was so nice, nobody wanted to leave!

When we did leave, we stopped for ice creams by the sea (although exposed to the northerly wind, it was freezing down there!). We'd been in the right place!

(Climbed 4 routes t the right of the car park facing in).
