Snorkelling in the Sunset

The combination of no wind, no clouds and no urgent morning appointments, inspired us to have breakfast out today.

With a neatly packed hamper, complete with milk and cereal bowls, we drove the ten minutes down to the Pier and enjoyed a very fine start to a very fine day, before Clare started work at lunchtime. The tide was full and all was still and quiet.

Later, once work was done, we went over to the Island to make the most of the heat and still weather conditions. The tide was due to be high at sunset, so we picked a less-frequented bay and set off with the snorkels packed in the van.

It was a beautiful evening and we saw loads of crabs scuttling around and quite a few fish too.

As it was such a nice warm evening, we had decided to stay 'out for dinner' so had gone prepared with foods to cook up. We ate on the bench that overlooked the sea and stayed drinking tea and eating cake until it was completely dark.
