Back on the bike today! This time with a bit of battery assistance and a very strong tail wind. I met John just before 8am for the ride to Llandudno, which usually takes about an hour and a half, but before we knew it, we were crossing the bridge over the Conwy and not even an hour had passed!
It was a lovely way to start the day - and even better to arrive in good time to enjoy a breakfast in the sun (I got a new flask cup for my birthday, so had the perfect coffee available on arrival!), before meeting our students.
The next section of the day was on foot - hiking into a crag on the North Wales coast.
The views were as good as ever, but arranging the climbing, while trying to stay 2m away from the students did present some challenges.
It was good to be 'back in the harness' as it were.
Although we probably got a bit less climbing done than normal, it was a fantastic place to spend the afternoon!
Then it was back on the bike to head home. John had promised that the wind would have dropped, but it still felt pretty strong to me (or maybe I was just tired by now?!). I tucked into his slipstream as much as possible as we headed west towards the lowering sun, as his e-bike is much more powerful.
Despite the headwind, the ride was glorious and almost completely traffic free.
I got back to The Cottage, just in time to catch the sunset with Clare on the hilltop. Magic.
