Climbing out and in...

Spent the morning weasling and bouldering around Fach Wen, near Llanberis. It's a good place to shelter from the weather while playing lots of balance and co-ordination games with the group of students that I've been teaching.
It was a big team to manage by myself, so in the afternoon, as the weather began to close in, we went to the 'crazy climb' area of the Beacon Climbing Wall. It's an amazing facility, with all sorts of wierd and wonderful things to climb, via self-clip auto belays. As an instructor, you need to have eyes everywhere and be quite strict with instructions, but everyone gets to climb loads and has real work out. Everyone was sweating but the end of the session (including me, keeping on top of things!).
