Newbrough Beach

Much less hilly walking today, but still a good sized hike! I've been out on the western tip of Anglesey at Newbrough Beach. Actually, we spent most of the day hiking trails through the forest as part of a teamwork and adventure day. Amazingly it stayed dry all day; it was raining heavily at both dawn and dusk though!

As it was St David's day, the Welsh Flags were all flying!

Near the end of the day, we got down onto the beach, which is one of Wales' finest. The views of the distant mountains look wild and the sun was shimmering off the sea.

It's not just a sandy beach either! There are some good pebble sections to hunt through!

With the wide open expanse of deserted beach, and the skyline looking like a rugged island in the distance, the place feels much more remote than just half an hours drive from Menai Bridge!
