Van with a plan!

Things were looking much brighter this morning! A good day to start decking out out our new van and making it useable for our next adventures wherever they might be. Before getting started, we had a bit of a kit sort out from our last trip, and decided that this carabiner had probably done more than enough abseils and was well ready for retirement!

A short walk down the track followed, where some wet snow was still on the hills. But warm temperatures and sunshine felt like bliss after yesterday. 

Then it was van time! We managed to dig out a surprising amount of old karrimats out of our kit stores to insulate the base of the van.

Then, believe it or not, we found a roll of carpet and some wood laminate to go down on top! (Boy, we really need a clear out!!). Still plenty of bits to build, but it's been a good start.
