This time last week, there was fresh snow on the hills and a baltic wind when we went of a surf. It was just as windy today, but Spring has now arrived on a much warmer southerly gale! There's a little bay on Anglesey, that works perfectly in such conditions, so we left the Cottage drizzle and drove over to some warm blue skies!
It was actually still misty, just 100m down the road, but our chosen bay was sunny and with inviting turquoise waters.
It was great to be out! Not amazing waves, but we both got a lot of long, fun rides and used the convenient rip current to easily get back out after surfing all the way to the beach!
After a brisk walk on the beach, we opted to stay out in the sunshine and had a business meeting in a nearby café before returning home. Friends called in in the evening while we were making pizzas and the morning started with pancakes, so all in all a great day!
