Well it's been a while since I've been out in the rain, but today really made up for that! Back here in Wales it's been a shocker of a day, with gales and rain all day long (in fact, it even rained in Greece today!). I was keen to get the fire lit and stay put at The Cottage, but a visiting friend convinced us that we should take a hike up to Aberfalls to 'blow away the cobwebs'.
Despite my less than enthusiastic committal, we had a super morning and arrived at the falls to witness it in full flow!
Where as in summer, there is just a trickle of water coming down the cliff, today it was jetting out about 10m from the base of the rock! Pretty impressive to be up close to such a force of nature!
We dried out in the cafe in the village before parting company and returning for lunch and to get the fire going!
