There's been some beautiful sunrises this week...
And stunner sunsets as settled weather stays put over Snowdonia.
Typically, this has coincided with a much busier than usual week, with interviews, evening meetings and even an orienteering event to organise, which has involved some long days and late nights. In between that, I've also taught some indoor rock climbing (we tried going outside, but despite the calm weather, it was a bit too cold for full enjoyment!).
Today, Clare and I had a restful day that involved a late start and a good walk along a deserted beach. The mountains were shrouded in cloud and there was no surf, but the beach gave some good ambience, once we'd wrapped up in down jackets. Not a bad spot for a picnic - even in December!
We stayed until the sun started to dip before retreating back to the fireside and later Indy Climbing Wall for a bit of training. Not long to go now until our next climbing trip, so good to keep the fingers strong!
Before then, it looks like I might need to get my crampons and ice axes out as the temperatures around here are dropping!...
