We fancied a day of climbing lots of quality rock climbs today, so the crag at Wallowbarrow was the perfect venue. Great routes, easy walk in, incredible views and a friendly farmer who lets you park at his farm for a charitable donation. Happy days...
We put our bags at the bottom, then spent the days going up all the routes we could - even one that I'd never done before (and I couldn't remember doing the others anyway, despite the notes in our guidebook suggesting otherwise!)
By mid afternoon, it was too hot to wearing rock boots, so we finished with a route that had a handy abseil descent, then went down to the river for a cooling swim.
Which, given that it was 26 degrees at the van, was deemed essential!
