Cold Finger Canoes

I've been back on the water today for a bit of open canoeing. The beautiful start to the day tricked me into only taking a few lightweight clothes. The forecast wasn't exactly accurate and soon after arriving at the lake, the drizzle and winds arrived.

I tucked into the back of my hood as we fought our way upwind until lunch. Our hands were cold holding the paddles and the drizzle slowly soaked us. At least the wind made the return journey easy! I was very pleased to pull on my big Rab jacket (that I'd left in the bus) when we got changed at the end of the day.
