If you've never played it, here is a brief premise of the rules, ethos and general vibe...
"Hunt the Pebble"
Between the dunes and rising tide,
Is the place where rounded boulders hide.
The sea has worn them round and smooth,
Eroding slowly as they move.
Pulled up and down by long shore drift,
To find the roundest, you must sift,
And look and stare and move some too,
And handle carefully every few,
Then toss away less perfect rounds,
Into the sea or on the ground;
We're looking here, to find today,
The perfect sphere to take away.
A souvenir whose price is free,
And's manufactured naturally.
This task may take us all the day, but there's time for other games;
To interact with new found friends and learn each others names.
This may look easy for the teach,
Just lying carefree on the beach......
But he's risk assessed as best he can,
With an all inclusive lesson plan!
Designed to get the best from all,
But it can't prevent a trip or fall,
Or if you get a rash from fruit,
Don't think to file a big law suit,
'Cos common sense is what we'll teach,
From a day spent chasing round the beach,
And when we've had enough from rocks,
We'll chase the waves in shoes and socks,
To see who can get furthest out;
We'll get wet feet, without a doubt,
And as the waves chase back to land,
We'll scream and stumble in wet sand,
Then with a smile upon our face,
Eventually, we'll leave this place,
With every pocket full of sand,
And our rounded pebble in our hand.
