Did a cool little trek today up to a Lake called Croda de Lago. Without having to gain too much height, we traversed into the area and got some great views along the way. The view of the famous 'Five Towers' was really good. Apparently, the one on the right is slowly moving so pretty soon, there might only be the famous four!?
At one point, we detoured off the path to get the view down to Cortina d'Amprezzo which was pretty good. We could almost make out the campsite.
Up at the lake we had lunch (sadly the refugio wasn't open yet, so had to make do with carrying our own lunch and drinks!). A few spots of rain threatened to spoil the day, but it didn't amount to much and we made it back to the car dry. In actual fact, the cloud cover meant that it was a much better temperature for trekking today.
