Calm in Canoes

The sound of torrential rain hammering on the skylights woke me up this morning. Not a great when you've a day of open canoeing ahead. However, by the time my group and I had arrived at the lake, the storm had passed and all was still and calm.

The clouds even cleared from the mountain tops to give us some views as well.

It was good to feel the sun on my face, even if it was from a very low angle and set behind the mountain ridge of Moel Elio at 14:30.

Despite conditions, we didn't journey out as far as I'd hoped, but the mirror-like reflections made up for it.
