Manu Beach and the Botanical Gardens

Surfed the famous Manu Beach this afternoon. If you can catch them, and avoid all the other surfers, there's the chance to ride a long left hand glassy wave. Dodging all the other surfers was certainly harder than the actual act of surfing the wave though! Clare had the best luck, and got some really long rides down the coast! I definatly spent more time paddling about between waves and surfers than standing up!

On the way over to the beach, we broke up the journey by stopping at the Botanical Gardens in Hamilton. Not our usual kind of stop off, but they are actually pretty cool. There are loads of different themed gardens representing plants and gardens from all over the world. It's beautifully kept and provided a nice Saturday walk about en route to the beach.
