Almost got de-railed from my planned day in the office, when Aled suggested a quick kayak trip down the Ogwen. I excitedly cycled out to the bridge to check the levels, but unfortunately (or perhaps, fortunately), the river wasn't quite high enough.
I returned to The Cottage and my computer screen, breaking only to turn the Fort Martin apples into a pie.
As the light began to fade, I noticed a glow on the hillside, so cycled out to investigate and catch the last of it. The e-bike soon had me at the top of the road, with the perfect view across to Anglesey. It was a great show and fun to have been able to get there so quickly by bike.
