Decided to try somewhere new today. Well, kind of new. I have climbed there before a few times, but well over ten years ago, so it felt pretty new. The climbing is on a quarried face, so the holds are slopey, angular and tricky to use to begin with. I was happy to left John get the ropes up!
Climbing next to a big cave entrance, curiosity got the better of us and we decided to have a look inside...
We got a bit of a shock to find a life-size cardboard cut out of an astronaut in the darkness!?!
Back on the rock, the top half of the cliff was bathed in warm evening sunshine.
The view from the top was good too.
We climbed until just after seven, by which time I was just starting to get into the style of climbing. We headed home into a nice sunset and ready for some food.
