Penmaenbach Quarry at sunset has to be one of the finest views in this area. The Orme, Llandudno, Anglesey and the Conwy estuary are all in view and the rock reflects an amazing warm orange colour as the sun drops low in the sky.
We timed things just right this evening, and climbed four route on baking hot rock as the sun set. It's been a windy day, but the crag was sheltering us nicely.
Was nice to do a few more routes that I'd not done before!
And that was all after spending the day on a cliff near Llanberis, introducing some students to world of rock climbing.
It was also a splendid sun trap, above Llyn Padarn, with Snowdon as our backdrop! Even though we were exposed to the stong southerlies, it was a beautiful spot to be working at.
