It's all about timing. And late this afternoon, we timed things to perfection! After a quick stop of in Menai Bridge, we nipped into Idwal, to catch the last of the sun, just as most teams were leaving the cwm.

The sun was fully on the slabs, but there were shadows creeping across to the base of the climbs. We roped up and climbed fast, moving together, just faster than the shadow line to stay in the sun!

We sat on top for a while watching beams of sunlight track across Llyn Idwal, then, before the shadows arrived, scampered back down to our bags - only an hour after we'd left them!
