No tales of mountain adventures of late, as this week I’ve been full-time busy on other projects of a less exciting, but still very rewarding nature. One of which has meant that all my visits to the Llanberis Slate Quarry visitors centre with students over the years have paid off - I’ve been splitting slates and laying the new Cottage patio. Recycling all the old slate from the demolished shed. There are some burley sized bits and it’s been a full body workout as well as a 3D jigsaw puzzle. Mixing 500kg of concrete is not for the faint hearted either! It’s not quite finished, but the heavy work is done. Here’s progress at day two:
