The unprecedented Britsh hot weather of summer led to a spate of new routes while we were away, on North Wales on rock, that is never normally dry. So this morning we went to try out a new route on the slate slab next to Massabula at Bus Stop Quarry. From the car, it looked like a good clean piece of rock, but on arrival at the base, we found that it was literally pouring with water! Will it ever be dry again!?...
As an excellent consolation prize, Aled and I climbed the classic crack of 'Fools Gold', before going for a 'meeting' at Dinorwic Lodge to catch up on each others summer holiday adventures.
