Whittling Sticks

There was a super sunrise today and I happened to be just in the right place to be able to give it some appreciation!

As part of a 'bushcraft' skills day, I was in charge of teaching a bit of stick whittling. A fantastic day, with lots of creativity and amazingly, given all the students who passed through, only one plaster administered to a cut finger!

As well as whittling, attention was paid to the details hidden inside a simple stick. This piece of Cherry was my favorite.

Having packed up the stores and got all the equipment tidied away, we made it over to a gig in the impressive Market Hall in Caernarfon (a new venue to me), to celebrate with Em on moving jobs, but actually bumped into loads of old friends as well.
