Canoeing Conditions

Perfect conditions and a strong group made a great combination today for a nice long canoe journey.
Pulling up at the waters edge, there was barely even a ripple on the water.

A light breeze made us work a bit as we made our way south towards the peaks of the Snowdon range, but nothing too bad. It was warm enough, (after only being 4 degrees at The Cottage at sunrise), to be in t-shirts all day!

Stopped for some snacks at the Slate Museum lagoon.

Before the long run back to where we'd started - this time with the breeze behind us!

Later in the evening, I picked up Clare (who had been snorkelling off Anglesey) and we dashed into the valley and did a climb on Tryfan Bach to christen a few new bits of climbing gear. Got to the top pretty much in the dark and had to go carefully down! Pitch black by the time we got back to the van! Definitely 'headtorch in the rucsack pocket' season now!
