Park Run

Clare and I did our second ever 'Park Run' today at Penrhyn Castle in Bangor. It's not often that I'm free on a Saturday morning, so we decided to make the most of the amazing free event that is held every weekend. And, luckily for us, the run is in a beautiful setting, around the castle grounds with views of the sea and mountains. We both scored personal best times (having only ever done it once before, the previous week!) so were very pleased with our efforts. I came 22 overall, out of about 200 runners and Clare was 12 female.

Luckily, the run took place first thing in the morning, while the sky was still blue - shortly after the gales and rain arrived. We escaped The Cottage for a brief walk into the woods behind the house, but returned soaked shortly after and got the fire lit!
