Extraordinary weather around here at the moment! Yesterday we were battling in blizzards and avoiding frostbite, today we went rock climbing in the glorious sunshine, with the minibus thermometer reading plus 18 degrees! It really felt freakishly warm.
A total contrast to the snow, but a welcome taste of spring. We made the most of the conditions, but climbing a few quick routes while it lasted. There was more bad weather on the way...
We left the crags mid-afternoon, as we could see the next wave of winter approaching! The wind was so strong as we crossed the hillside that we all got blown around and had to stagger back to the bus! Thankfully, we got back to base just as the heavy rains arrived.
