There was a definite Sunday vibe in the air today and we both decreed that a day off climbing might be advantageous for body, mind and spirit. Some coastal hiking seemed like a much less energy intensive, but equally satisfying use of the day. It started off with a gentle walk along the sea front for coffee at the harbour and kind of kept going!
While we had a brew and were watching the world go by, I noticed that up above us, there was a huge halo around the sun.
A couple of fishing boats pulled up near us and various types of fish were gutted and sold to passers by.
It's fun to be somewhere with a strange kind of cash. I felt super rich walking around with this in my pocket, but it's actually worth less than a fiver!
It was blowing onshore, so the idea of a swim wasn't that appealing, so we walked east along the peninsular.
Soon enough, we left the houses behind and found a few good coloured and sheltered areas of water.
The cliff tops are covered in all types of flowers at the moment.
Before long we came to this little section, which was just asking to be swum in!
It was a little more sheltered, so we lay down to heat up before getting in! It was our quickest dip yet as the wind was chilling. Still good to get in though!
