Wow, we really had all the weather today! 30mm of rain fell during the morning along with gale force winds. We had to nip along the valley, which made for an exciting afternoon out!
Water was pouring off the mountainsides as the ground must be quite hard after a month with no precipitation.
When not negotiating the parts of the road that were flooded, we had to contend with the traffic cones, which were dancing across the road!
Then, as if someone had flicked a switch, at around 5pm, the wind stopped and the sun came out!
We thought we'd be spending the rest of the day huddled by the fireside, but instead enjoyed a walk down to the still rising river.
Perfect kayaking levels and with sunshine too! But only for a couple of hours until the next wave of clouds hit!....
