Bike Commuting

The cycle path along the coast is a beautiful one, here in North Wales. However, this morning's commute was not quite what I'd hoped for. You could barely see the sea and it rained for the entire 30km journey and we decided not to celebrate our arrival in Llandudno with takeout coffee and pastries. I arrived soaked to the pants and a little bit shivery.

Dried off and smartened up, I had a fun time getting ready for a 'virtual' speech day end of term celebration, between another walk up the hill and plenty of general admin.

Things brightened up a bit for the return journey and thanks to being on the bike, we elected to take the straight line route, which involves going up and over the Sychnant Pass - easy with the assisted battery power! The clouds over Conwy threaten to soak us again, but we got away with it.

In fact, the sun came out for the last section and I arrived home to able skies and a welcome rest in the garden with toast and coffee.

With more rain on the way, we decided to make the most of the sunshine, so walked up onto the summit of nearby Moel y Ci, where the views were fabulous as ever.

Over a movie with a glass of fine wine, we toasted the end of online education for a while...
